Legal Compliance

We use personal data to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) laws, VARA regulatory requirements, Dubai Land Department regulations, and tax reporting obligations. This includes verifying identities, assessing transaction legitimacy, monitoring for suspicious activities, and maintaining required records.

Service Provision

Personal data enables us to create and manage your investment account, process property token purchases and sales, facilitate fractional property ownership, execute blockchain transactions, distribute rental income dividends, provide property management updates, enable secondary market trading, and support Community Tenant programs.

Communication

We use your data to send transaction confirmations, provide investment updates and property reports, deliver security alerts and notifications, respond to customer inquiries, share platform updates and new features, and communicate voting opportunities for property decisions.

Security

Your data helps us detect and prevent fraudulent activities, monitor unusual account behavior, implement two-factor authentication, protect against unauthorized access, conduct security audits, and respond to security incidents.

Performance Monitoring

Service Providers

We share data with trusted partners including CTRL ALT Solutions DMCC (tokenization services), banking partners for payment processing, identity verification providers, property management companies, IT infrastructure and security providers, and professional advisors (lawyers, auditors). All service providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and data protection standards.

Section 5: Data Storage, Transfers and Retention

Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred internationally for blockchain network operations, global compliance screening, cloud storage and backup, and cross-border investment facilitation. Safeguards include data encryption during transfer and storage, contractual clauses requiring equivalent protection, compliance with international data protection frameworks, and regular security assessments of data processors.

Data Storage and Security

Tribe implements comprehensive security measures including end-to-end encryption for sensitive data, secure blockchain integration (XRPL), multi-factor authentication, regular security updates and patches, intrusion detection systems, role-based access controls, regular security training for staff, incident response procedures, data protection impact assessments, secure data center facilities, and backup and disaster recovery systems.

Data Retention

We retain personal data according to legal requirements (typically 5–7 years for financial records), regulatory obligations under VARA and AML laws, active account status, and ongoing legal proceedings or disputes. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted from active systems, anonymized for statistical purposes, or archived with restricted access where legally required.

Incident Response

In case of a data breach, affected users will be notified within 72 hours, VARA will be notified within 24 hours, remedial actions will be implemented immediately, and a detailed report will be provided to authorities.
